Margina Residence

The location made it easy to get around: the beach is almost right outside, and restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away. I travelled alone and really enjoyed staying here. My room was lovely and had all the basics, including a fridge, TV, AC and water heater. The balcony was great, with a lovely view over the sea and Gaios. They’ll clean the room if you ask, and leave you alone if you prefer privacy. The family and staff were so kind. I had some nice chats with them about the island, its history, and other things. They helped quickly when I accidentally locked myself out, too. I also rented a boat through them with a skipper. He showed me how to drive it, which made the trip a lot of fun. I would’ve liked to go a little farther, but it was still a great outing. Breakfast was fine, though I thought it could’ve been a bit better for the price. At checkout there was a small mix-up about payment, but they acknowledged they’d made a mistake and apologized. I appreciated that. I hope I can come back soon!

Being so close to town meant we didn’t need a car, and we had a really good time here. The family who runs the hotel made us feel welcome and helped arrange whatever we needed. Their transfer service came in handy, since taxis can be difficult to find, and we also arranged a boat rental through their partner. The room was clean, and the beds and pillows were so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. The view and breakfast eventually won me over, though. Breakfast changed each day and included homemade cakes and pastries, Greek pites, fruit, yogurt, eggs, juice, coffee made to order, and treats like limoncello yogurt parfaits and overnight oats. We’d happily stay here again.

We had a lovely family stay at margina. The walk into town was short, with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes, and the nearby beaches were easy to reach. We had a great time swimming, the water was unbelievably beautiful. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and everyone on staff was welcoming and kind. Anna especially made us feel at home. She gets up at 4 every morning to prepare breakfast, which had fresh fruit, pastries, cakes and juice. We’ll definitely be back!

Swimming spots just across the road made it easy to cool off on hot days, and the balcony looked out over the beautiful blue water by the port of Gaios. We stayed at The Margina Residence on our Summer ‘24 trip to Paxos and really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and had aircon, a TV and a mini bar. The hotel also has lovely sea views and is an easy walk from the bars, shops and restaurants along Gaios’s main thoroughfare. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We’d happily recommend The Margina Residence to family and friends visiting the area. Thank you Margina, we loved our stay.
