Gaios centre is an easy five-minute walk, and Paxos itself is wonderful. The room was okay, though not very clean. I think I may have been the first guest of the year, so after the winter it could have used a proper deep clean, especially since I booked well over a month ahead. I cleaned the balcony myself. There was no salt, just a drizzle of olive oil left in a bottle. The air con remote didn't work properly, so I couldn't control the temperature. The host said she'd bring fresh batteries, but they never arrived. She had a medical emergency and was only there for one day of my stay. The cleaning lady did come midweek to change the linen and towels. The TV stopped working on some nights, and the WiFi was quite slow.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with a ceramic hob, kettle, microwave, coffee machine, milk frother, toaster, and sandwich maker. The place has a shabby chic look, and both the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The TV is the one small downside: only one channel works, and it's so small you can't see much from the bed anyway. You can also arrange to rent a car, moped, or boat through the owner.
