I came back the next day for more chocolate cake, it was that good. Stella makes excellent desserts and cakes, the kind that make your mouth water. I know my way around dessert quality, since I taste far too many 😀 Her daughter was also a big help when my bike had problems. Thanks to Stella and the family!

A peaceful spot with shade from the hot sun and nice views. Stella's Bakery has a great range of freshly made sweet and savoury pastries, along with bread. Good coffee too, and plenty of cold drinks. Definitely worth a visit on Gavdos!

Stella’s hospitality and knowledge of the island are part of what makes this place special. It’s an iconic bakery on Gavdos, with coffee, spanakopita, cheese pie, delicious pizza, and lots of traditional Greek and Cretan sweets. They also serve beer and wine, and now have accommodation for rent.

Stella and Nikoleta make this bakery a lovely place to hang out, where local people and travelers can mingle and enjoy the Gavdos way of life respectfully. They’re incredibly friendly and really understand hospitality. The traditional baked goods use local ingredients and are tasty and healthy, and the freddos espresso and cappuccino are spot on. If they have kotopita, ask for it, it’s a special treat 😉

Stella’s homemade ice cream was wonderful, and her local knowledge made my time on Gavdos much more interesting. Thanks, Stella. Come back soon, we miss you!
