Annas House

The price for a one-bedroom apartment was very reasonable, and it was an easy walk into the village for a wide choice of tavernas and more. We had a gem of a stay for a week in mid-May 2025: lovely gardens and pool, spotless rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Evangelia at reception was especially helpful. We've booked to come back in September.

Breakfast was great, the staff were lovely, and the location made it easy to walk to both the beach and town. The rooms were very clean, which I really appreciated. But lots of little problems added up. The reception staff weren't welcoming or helpful: when I asked for an iron, they said they didn't know where it was and told me to find someone else to ask. The air conditioning was inconsistent, and the shower pressure was so low that when other people were showering, the overhead shower couldn't be used. The water kept switching from cold to hot. I couldn't wash clothes in the sink either, because the kitchen sink overflow wasn't connected and water ran into the drawer below. It looked like an old issue, with the drawer delaminated. The bathroom sink plug wasn't connected, so that sink was unusable too. Some sunbeds were unsteady because their feet were missing, and many had broken stitching. Guests aren't allowed to bring their own drinks to the pool, which is ridiculous for an apartment hotel. There's a lot to like, but the place needs some care to make it four-star.

Everything was very clean and the breakfast was great. We stayed a week at Anna’s house and enjoyed every moment. Our room was quite big and had all the amenities we needed, and the owners made us feel welcome and were very helpful. Parking in front of the hotel was no problem, and Georgioupoli is only about a ten-minute walk away. We'd definitely return.

Breakfast was very mediocre, and there was very weak shower pressure. For several days there was no hot water. It seemed to come on only when guests in other rooms weren't using water. We booked a villa with a shared pool, but the villas are set apart from the hotel's main buildings and nothing mentioned that. Getting to breakfast meant walking a few minutes along a road without a curb, which wasn't very convenient. The villas are near the road, so you can hear cars. Our room was dirty and there was no proper cleaning. For five days, puddles and marks by the pool weren't cleared, and the sheets weren't changed. A towel we left on the floor was simply picked up and put back on the shelf. The rooms are quite old, with old furniture and dirty sofas that don't seem to get cleaned. The room safe and beach towels also cost extra.
