Corissia Princess Hotel

Spyridoula at the front desk really made the trip special. She was gracious, kind, and so helpful, always smiling and checking if we needed anything. She answered our questions or found the answers, suggested places to eat and see, and even mentioned other Greek islands for a future visit. When it rained one night, she arranged a ride to and from dinner. My daughters thought a lot of her, too. We stayed at Corissia Princess Hotel in early May and upgraded to a bigger two bedroom room on the same floor as the bar/lounge. It was spacious and clean, with a large patio and a great view. We had a rental car and parking nearby was easy. The first floor spa was available to use, though its hot tub wasn't working during our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. One evening we went upstairs for a drink, but a group of four people were smoking heavily inside with the retractable roof closed on a cool night, despite the posted rules against indoor smoking. Staff let it continue, so we had to leave. Indoor smoking could be a turn off if it bothers you.

The spa experience was deeply disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The jacuzzi was cold and out of order, the lights were switched off while we were using the spa without warning, and the facilities and organization seemed poorly managed. They also gave us no locker keys, so our belongings weren't secure. The worst moment was when spa manager Ioanna opened the door without checking whether anyone was inside and began mopping. The reception is just outside, so people could see into the spa and our privacy was compromised. Cold air also came in each time the door opened. When I told Ioanna I planned to write a review about how we were treated, she laughed. The receptionist came over and added his opinion, making things worse. I found the staff completely unprofessional and incompetent. The hotel felt neglected and badly managed, and I wouldn't return.

Beach access directly in front of the hotel was convenient and well organized. The room was very nice, and the amenities felt thoughtfully chosen. Alex at the front desk was so friendly and his recommendations really added to our stay. What a gem.

The rooms were spotless and cleaned regularly, and the staff were fabulous, friendly, and always ready to help. A wonderful hotel.
