Halases Panorama Villa pvt Pool

The villa made a great base for seeing Chania, Rethymno and the lovely little bay of Loutro, though having a car is necessary to explore this rural part of Crete and enjoy the surrounding scenery. We stayed with friends for a week at the beginning of October 2025 and had a fabulous time. The quiet village is mostly residential, with just a couple of places to eat, drink and buy basic supplies, so it feels a world away from the crowded tourist spots and is ideal for relaxing. We spent plenty of time on the large terrace, with its trees and plants, having breakfast or enjoying drinks and snacks through the day. There’s a large pool suitable for adults and children, plus a welcome shaded area with plenty of loungers and seats. Inside, the ensuite bedrooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and kitchen facilities. The communal area has a functional modern kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher, dining space for 10, and a large open-plan seating area. We’d absolutely recommend this beautiful property.

We loved this villa as a group and would heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of luxury away from the resorts. There’s a large outdoor pool in beautiful surroundings and a wonderful terrace for eating outside. The bedrooms are all big, ensuite, and have kitchenettes. In the main lounge, the kitchen and family space are fantastic. The villa itself is spacious and very well appointed, in a rural village that offers a different perspective on Crete and makes a fabulous place to explore from.

At night, all we heard were owls, a bit like sonar pings on a submarine, and sheep bells from a nearby field. The dark skies were amazing too. This private, peaceful villa was just right for relaxing, with a luxurious and comfortable retreat that still let us explore tourist attractions and a more authentic side of Crete that many visitors may not see. We stayed for a week in September with friends and were really impressed by the high standard of the accommodation and the chance to experience more of the island. It’s a traditional Cretan farmhouse, extensively upgraded while keeping lots of Cretin charm. There’s everything you could need, and plenty of space inside and out for a large group to stay comfortably. A charming, spacious villa in a beautiful rural setting, finished to an extremely high standard. We’ll be back!
