Villa Artemis in Vrises

We really enjoyed our stay at Artemis. It’s a well-maintained, well-equipped villa, fairly secluded, with a nice pool and good outdoor space. We’d happily return. One of our favorite outings was walking to Maza Cefeneion, run by the delightful Costas and family. It took us 15 to 40 minutes depending on the route, our fitness, and how much we’d had to drink. See my separate review. [Visited in June '24] Vryses, on the old highway that’s now bypassed, is busier than you might expect for such a pleasant, out-of-the-way part of Greece. It has a useful range of shops and services. Freelance did a good job, and we’d use them again. A note about the map: Google Maps is wrong about the track past Artemis. The section toward Filippos (Philip) can’t be driven in a two-wheel-drive car. It’s steep and rocky, and not suitable for “high-heels2” either. Coming from the other direction, Google also doesn’t show where the track to the villa branches off, then runs parallel to the driveway for Aspalathos Villas. Look closely at the satellite image.
