We got a spacious, spotless room at Lyrids apartments, looking out over the pool and the garden full of olive trees. The place has a lovely design, mixing modern comforts with traditional Cretan style, and it’s run by a family who made us feel at home. The family also hosted an evening with traditional Greek food. It was a lovely chance to try local dishes and chat with the other guests. And although breakfast isn’t offered, Mrs Anna, the mother, surprised us one morning with homemade Cretan treats, including skaltsounia and cheese pie. I came away feeling my stay at Lyrids apartments had surpassed every expectation.

My room at Lyrids apartments was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything I needed. The hotel blends modern amenities with traditional Cretan style, and the family’s hospitality feels warm and genuine. During my stay, the hotel put on an event featuring local Cretan products. We were offered traditional foods and drinks for free, which was a lovely surprise and a great way to experience the local culture. The location also makes it easy to reach some beautiful beaches and the town of Rethimno. I’d highly recommend Lyrids apartments as a base for a visit to Crete.

We booked the whole place for our wedding and held it by the pool, under the olive trees. The rooms were well equipped and had all the facilities we needed. Totally recommend!

It’s easy to get to the nearby beaches along the north coast by rental car, or head south. The apartment itself is huge, comfortable, and cosy, with a big balcony and a beautiful view. Everything felt new and was perfectly clean. The hosts were incredibly nice.

Lots of natural light, a spacious bathroom, and a really comfy mattress made this apartment a pleasure to stay in. It was clean and super comfortable, the location was great, and we really loved our time there. The hosts were kind, too.
