After arriving at 3 am, we were sent here instead of Mare Blue Apartments. The sea-view room meant climbing lots of stairs, and the view was of the dustbins. I was meant to get a room upgrade, but it was always promised for tomorrow, so I gave up because I wanted to unpack. The staff were contradictory, as someone else mentioned. One man was aggressive and rude about a shower after checkout, saying I’d have to go to another complex, and that I wouldn’t know whether I could keep the room until an hour before. A nicer staff member arranged it for me at 10 euros an hour. Then I came back to find that a woman called penny had put a note on the door and deactivated my key card, so I couldn’t get out. It caused a lot of unnecessary stress and upset. The barman and restaurant staff are lovely, but the food was repetitive and never hot. I believe it’s delivered rather than cooked on site. The pool is very small, I never saw anyone using it, and I was told there are cracks. Having only 5 or 6 sunbeds is ridiculous. This should never be rated 4 stars, it’s more like 2. Love Holidays need to take some responsibility for the problems. Give it a wide berth.

It was near the end of the season, but we still had lovely weather and a great time here. The hotel is clean and has a cute, cozy boutique feel. We enjoyed the food, and it was served hot. The swimming pool is lovely, with a sea view. Thanks, guys, for a great holiday.

The staff were extremely friendly and always smiling. A handsome young man in the service department was especially respectful and gave excellent service. The food and drinks were average, acceptable, neither particularly good quality nor bad. Still, I expected much more from a 4-star hotel. The photos don’t match what’s there: the hotel has no private beach, so we had to go to another hotel to sit by the sea. The reception team seemed inexperienced and often contradicted each other, checking with management about nearly everything. It was a nice vacation, just disappointing compared with what I’d expected.

The staff were plentiful and always on duty, and the barman made excellent cocktails. The buffet had lots of choices and was delicious. Thanks to the Chef, especially for the amazing steak and cooked meals.

The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful, but the sunbeds provided were on a rockier stretch about 3 minutes away, so we hardly used them. Our stay was still very disappointing. There are several “Mare” hotels in the complex and it’s confusing, with little clear information. We couldn’t find out which building had a DJ one evening. Reception said the Apollo representative meeting would be at the front desk, but it was actually at a restaurant 10 minutes away. Reception also regularly gave us one answer one day and something different the next. Food and drinks were the biggest letdown. The meals were very poor quality, not fresh or tasty, and we had stomach issues several times afterwards. The drinks were just as bad and barely seemed like real cocktails. The food comes from a catering company, and it looks like they hardly make anything from scratch themselves. There were extra costs we hadn’t expected: €3 a day for the safe, a €10 towel deposit, so we bought our own, and a €10 local tax we hadn’t been told about before arrival. Checkout information was inconsistent too. On departure day we were told we could keep our wristbands and use all inclusive until the evening airport transfer. A few days earlier someone else had said they’d be taken at 11 o’clock. I think that’s stupid when we arrived at 1 o’clock at night on the first day and didn’t use any all inclusive then. Fortunately it worked out and we got food on the last day, but the staff clearly aren’t consistent. Apart from the nice beach, the stay was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it if you care about good food, clear communication, and a stress-free holiday.
