Oceana Suites Villas Infinity Pool Deluxe Villa

We had 23 people together for our wedding trip to Crete, so having three villas gave us plenty of room. They were modern, clean and spacious, with everything our group needed, and the place was cleaned during our stay. We could enjoy the pool, barbecue and outdoor areas for little get-togethers, while still having privacy. The setting is beautiful, but shops, a pharmacy, restaurants and towns are nearby. Our host was friendly and helpful. I’d happily come back.

We left within the first hour and still couldn’t get a refund. The owner had double-booked our apartment, and when we tried to sort something out, she refused to help. Her website said it was a two-minute walk from Chania’s main centre, but it was actually a 45-minute drive. The maps and city details there were false too. Dealing with her was a nightmare, and the customer service left a terrible taste in our mouths. I wouldn’t book here.

We left the same day because we couldn’t sleep there. The air conditioner was so loud, and one bedroom didn’t have one at all. There were bugs and ants throughout the apartment, even in the bed. Katerina didn’t even apologize, and wouldn’t refund us. Instead, she sent photos of things we allegedly broke and asked us to pay for them. Bad apartment, worst host. Don’t book.

The pool was dirty and freezing, and the apartment felt cold and dark despite being large. The bed was thin and uncomfortable. In the tiny bathroom, the showerhead pointed straight at the faucet, and the toilet bowl was unlike anything I’d seen before. The girl who greeted us barely spoke English and just handed over the keys without a word. The price was too high for the amenities on offer. I wouldn’t recommend it.
