Parking was convenient and the hotel’s location was good, but the stay left us frustrated. Several mornings there was no water to shower or even brush our teeth, while the owner spent hours watering the garden. He blamed guests, saying “everyone was showering at the same time,” instead of acknowledging the problem. We got a very unfriendly reception on arrival, with no explanation or guidance, and had to find our own room. On day three, the AC stopped working and blew hot air. When we contacted the owner or manager at night, he rudely asked, “What do you want me to do now?” We explained how unbearable the heat was, but he told us to sleep with the windows and even the entrance door open. That wasn’t a reasonable fix. The next day, we were told the AC had been “repaired” and asked to pay €70. The owner claimed we’d left it running at 16°C all day, which wasn’t technically possible. The room uses a keycard electricity system at the entrance, so all power shuts off without the card, and we always took it with us. Booking.com had to step in to prevent the charge. The owner also falsely told Booking.com he’d warned us in advance, which never happened. Towels were changed only every three days, and only after we asked politely. Worse, a used towel we’d put on the bathroom floor was refolded and left on the bed as if clean. Breakfast wasn’t recommended either. Many items tasted sour and poor quality. The service was extremely unfriendly, unprofessional, and short on hospitality. Never again.
