Blue Sky

After a full day of driving, we booked a room at the last minute and were so glad we did. The hotel area is lovely and quiet, so we slept well, and breakfast came with a nice continental selection and great coffee. The shower was especially good, with strong pressure and plenty of hot water. We were sorry to leave.

The location works well if you want to be near Glyfada's activity without being right in the middle of the traffic and noise. It's a nice, quiet place. A couple of rooms have been fully redone, with modern styling, good showers, and very good air conditioning. One small tip: separate the room key from the power card if you don't want things to stop when you head to the beach. Keep that to a minimum, since the prices are reasonable and they do need to make a profit.

For a weekend in Glyfada, this is an excellent choice, with a good balance of price and quality. The rooms were clean and cozy, reception was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was included. Restaurants and a supermarket are about a 15-minute walk away, while the free beach is 30 minutes on foot. You can take a bus to Elliniko metro and reach the Acropolis metro stop in central Athens in 20 minutes. The one drawback was the tiny bathroom.

The rooms are basic but clean, and the staff are sincerely friendly. It's the best value for money. You do have to walk 400 m to and from the tram, but I reckon rates would be nearly double if the accommodation were closer to it.
