Raise Cosy Apartment

I’m reviewing the host’s communication, since we never got to stay in the apartment. We’d paid in full for a honeymoon trip, but Australia’s borders were shut because of COVID-19, so we couldn’t travel. The host offered a credit, but we had no idea when travel would be possible again, and that was out of our hands. I understand someone would lose money during the pandemic, but the host was rude and patronizing. They said I was complaining over a small amount, like a day’s wages in Australia. That felt out of line: I shouldn’t be told not to care about losing money, and the host has no right to comment on my finances. If it was such a small amount, why not refund it? I later checked our dates, July 10-13, and it looked like the apartment was booked. So they seemed to have our money and another booking too. I don’t recommend staying there. After reading the company’s reply below, I can see the same rudeness I dealt with. They never mentioned properties in Cyprus or Greece, only a credit voucher. Everything I said above is true. I don’t blame the apartment for COVID-19 😂
