Niros Beachfront Aparthotel

We had nowhere to stay when we arrived because the conditions at the hotel we had booked were poor, so we contacted Niros hoping they might have a room. They found one for us in the middle of the season, and the receptionist greeted us so warmly. Many thanks to her and her husband for helping us. It’s a small hotel with lots of greenery and a clean, safe swimming pool. Our room was spacious and wonderful, with a view of both the pool and the sea. It had all the amenities, and the linens and towels were changed often, with cleaning every other day. We were very happy there and will come back.

We arrived as a family of seven, with all our luggage and gear for three nights, and the host greeted us looking sour while angrily talking on the phone. He then asked us to pay €10 for the air conditioner remote. The room was dusty and musty, the baby crib had mold, and the view faced a construction site instead of the sea. We checked out after five minutes. When we told the owner why we were leaving, he seemed to understand. It looked like he wouldn’t stay somewhere like that either. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The bathroom was okay, though the shower felt too small for me, and I’m a big guy, so I’m not sure. The room itself was clean and roomy, with a balcony and something like a kitchen. It would have been complete if there were any kind of stove. There was a frying pan in the cupboard, but the sun was hot enough to cook eggs.

You get fair value for the price, and it’s very close to the sea with some restaurants nearby. The place is fairly clean and has a small pool, but only a little TV with Greek channels and not many cooking tools. If you’re sensitive to noise, be aware that planes land over the property.
