Golden Sunlight by Estia

We were in town for a Greek wedding, and the hotel owner went out of her way to help. I wasn’t sure where my hairdresser appointment was, so she offered to drive me there. She’s the nicest person you could wish to meet. Breakfast was fresh every day with plenty of choice, and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily. The hotel was modern, clean and welcoming, just as described. It’s a five-minute walk to a beautiful beach and restaurants. We couldn’t have asked for more, and it was great value. Thank you, Golden Sunlight, for the hospitality.

What a lovely find at a reasonable price. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were helpful, and the pool was nice. There’s no attendant at the pool, but it isn’t too deep and has the same depth from one end to the other. The road out front is busy, though after a while we hardly noticed it. Planes pass overhead because it’s under a flight path, but that wasn’t an issue for us unless you’re easily irritated by noise.

The fresh Cretan breakfast was the best part, prepared each morning by Mrs. Chisoula. Mrs. Michalis took care of everything with a smile, and we hope to come back next year. The hotel is also close to the beach and local restaurants, with spacious, very clean rooms, room service, parking, bathroom amenities, a pool, and a garden.

Michalis, Ursula, Jenny, and Manos made our month-long stay especially good. They're warm, welcoming, and happy to help with anything. The hotel is small, quiet, and nicely decorated, and our room was kept spotless. It's an easy walk to the beach, with a local bus stop right beside it for getting along the main road. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
