The staff were the one bright spot. Alexandra at the pool bar was delightful and made decent cocktails, and the woman at reception was friendly and efficient. We’d expected a luxurious, high-standard stay after paying so much, and wanted a relaxing end to our Crete vacation. Instead, the resort felt cheap and lacking in class. The reception had gaudy, dated, dirty furniture, and the Sensus pool, supposedly the exclusive part, had mould. The place had a bit of a holiday camp feel. Our Sensus building room was noisy, with people shouting along the corridor and doors banging late into the night. Dirty glasses and empty bottles were left in the corridor to our room. The toilet door handle came off the first time we used it, the soap dispenser didn’t work, and the sofa bed cover was grimy. The cot delivered for our toddler had huge holes in it. We’d requested a breakfast basket for our early checkout since breakfast was included, but it never arrived. The buffet food was okay, but my swordfish was full of bones. From around 18:45, getting dinner became a free-for-all, with too many people trying to serve themselves. The restaurant may be too small for the number of guests, and timed seating might help avoid that feeding-frenzy feeling. There was no power in our room from around 1am until we got up to go to the airport. The Aircon failed, so the room was like an oven. We then had to get ready in pitch darkness, using our phone lights. Checkout was quick, and our prebooked airport car arrived on time, which we appreciated. Still, we were really disappointed and felt £270 was a massive waste. We’ve stayed in much nicer places at that price.

We spent 7 days there and were given a 15-min free massage when we arrived. Breakfast and dinner were included, with all sorts of food, from the bottom of the sea to the sky. The gym was small but okay, and there was an indoor pool as well as outdoor pools. The people were extraordinary and did everything they could to make our holiday a good one. There was Greek dance, live music, karaoke, and more. I genuinely recommend it 👌

The hotel keeps meeting our expectations: it’s clean, the staff are attentive and friendly, and there’s plenty of variety in the food. We always book a room with a private rooftop whirlpool. We love the Greek mentality, the stunning scenery, and the beautiful sea. Those are all reasons we keep coming back, and this vacation was a complete success.

We were delighted with our stay. Crete is a wonderful destination, and this hotel is a great example of it. There’s a wide choice of food made with local ingredients, so you can enjoy the island’s flavors. The bar has options throughout the day, so you won’t miss breakfast if you sleep in and don’t make it to the big Buffet. If you can’t eat gluten, they’ll offer alternatives. Thank you for that. ❤️ Every hotel worker was attentive and ready to help. They were kind, thoughtful, smiling, and kept everything spotless. The pools were just right in size, clean, and had a good atmosphere. There are fun activities in the bar area every day, and the cocktails are varied, with interesting combinations and very well prepared. Reception helps you with everything.
