The entertainment was great, and the team worked really hard. My daughter loved the kids club and evening mini disco. The girls there were professional, and I always felt comfortable leaving her with them. Juniper especially adored CECILE, who was so sweet, friendly, and wonderful with the children. She was very sad to say goodbye. The kids loved the mini disco, and I’m sure we’ll still be singing the songs and doing the dances months from now. The shows we saw were entertaining and professional. The hotel was spotless and very well kept. Our bungalow room felt modern and had everything we needed. We liked the pool by our room with the swim up bar. The pools were a bit chilly, though that’s expected in September. I wish the indoor pool had been heated, since they were all too cold for my baby. We spent a lot of time on the beach and liked having our own private area. On nice days, we had to get there early to find a sunbed. The last few days were windy, so we stayed by the pools instead. It would be nice to have a bar on the beach for drinks. The hotel food was amazing, with loads of variety. We enjoyed every meal, especially the evening pasta station. We tried the Isla restaurant one night, which was included in our all inclusive package. It’s beautiful and has fantastic views, but the food disappointed us. We much preferred the restaurant in Marina Beach. We’ve just come back from a fantastic holiday here. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and we’d definitely recommend the hotel and return if we come back to Crete.

It was our first holiday abroad with the kids, and it was phenomenal. There was plenty to do, and everyone from reception to the cleaners was brilliant. The restaurant manager was really helpful too. I’ve seen comments that the food was repetitive, but it genuinely wasn’t. Most of the other holidaymakers were German when we visited, and I found that made the holiday better since there were few, if any, rowdy, drunk British guests making a nuisance of themselves. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making this a holiday to remember.

We enjoyed our stay, and everything worked well for us with our 6 months old. The restaurant could provide baby food, and they also catered for gluten intolerants. All the allergens were shown clearly, and the maitre'd was very accommodating, making a real effort to provide gluten free food. They had gluten free bread, sweets, and treats too. There was one problem: once, the bread was placed in the same container as the meet skewers. I pointed out that it was no longer gluten free, and they removed the sign, but it was too late. My wife had already eaten a slice of pita and got sick during the night. The room was nice, and the pools were good. Our 6 month old enjoyed the baby pool, and the hotel has its own beach. The gym was smaller than I expected from the photos. Guess that’s the fish-eye optics :)

The beach, with its gentle waves, was only a few steps away, and there were lots of activities at the hotel, so we never got bored. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and the staff were extremely kind. We also really enjoyed the tasty food and its variety.

Our August family holiday at the Sol Marina Beach was the best. It was our first time in Crete, and we loved the hotel. The food was great, the drinks were well made, and the staff were amazing. We’d spend mornings snorkeling and relaxing on the hotel’s part of the beach, take Gyros from the hotel snack bar down there for lunch, then spend the afternoons at one of the pools. I can’t rate the hotel highly enough.
