Angela Hotel and Apartments

The pool was fabulous, and the hotel was extremely clean. We had a lovely week here, and the staff made us feel like family and were always happy to help. Thank you, Lucretia and your lovely family. Liz and Mike, and baby Hugh ⭐️

We especially liked being able to rent a car from the hotel at a great price. Our room was spotless and newly decorated, breakfast was plentiful, and the pool was a lovely place to relax. The location was close to the city center but still peaceful. A good choice if you're getting ready for a sailing trip or just want a restful day nearby. Highly recommend!

We arrived around 19:00 on check-in day after booking through Booking.com 1.5 months earlier, and were told there was no room for us. Our confirmation listed Angela Hotel at that same address for those dates, but the manager said the booking had been redirected to another Angela Hotel in Kavos, hours away in a party area we had purposely avoided. The manager said this had been happening all summer with Booking.com, Agoda, and other travel agencies, which are part of the same company. While we were speaking, another couple with an Agoda booking showed up with the same issue. They said Agoda offered them a refund, but they still had to pay extra for a new room. Booking.com found us another nearby hotel late that night, which was even better, and we were glad they did, though we were exhausted and disappointed. The only room the manager could offer us there and then was a large family room costing two to four times what we'd booked. She was kind and tried to help, but it's unacceptable for this to have been going on for months and leaving so many guests without the rooms they reserved. It was one of the worst first impressions we've had while travelling, despite visiting many countries in Europe and Asia. We wouldn't book here again and risk turning up to find no room.

The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the large pool with comfortable sunbeds was fantastic. The owners and staff were always kind and ready to help us plan our days. Angela hotel sits nicely in the middle of Corfu, making it a good starting point for the sandy beaches in the west and the pebble beaches in the north. Corfu with its fortress and tavernas is only a short drive away. Just what you'd hope for from a family-run hotel. I'd recommend it to couples or families exploring the island.
