Patmos Villas

What stayed with me about Patmos Villas was its sense of taste and aesthetics, along with the spotless rooms. I was only on Patmos for a short visit, but Thomas and his father, Mr. Dimitris, made the place feel effortlessly run. They're both simple, kind people. In our brief conversations, Mr. Dimitris shared thoughts shaped by a lifetime on the island and all he has seen there. You could feel how deeply those insights were rooted in its heritage. Growing up where tradition is respected and ancestral arts and crafts are kept alive and passed down can teach you a lot, even without formal studies.

We were meant to stay two nights, but liked the room and island so much that we extended our visit. Tomas collected us from the ferry and gave us useful advice on booking a scooter in Skala. The breakfast was lovely: fresh Greek yoghurt with honey, fried eggs, fresh bread, cheese, ham, and excellent coffee from a proper machine, not instant or in cups. They also made tomato salad on two mornings after harvesting some tomatoes. On checkout day, they let us leave our luggage so we could spend another day at the beach, then Tomas drove us back to the Harbour for our ferry. Of all the places and islands we stayed at during our three-week honeymoon trip around Greece, this accommodation and island were our favourites, thanks to Tomas and his parents.

Thomas made us feel at home from the moment we arrived on the island, and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We had a really great stay at Patmos Villas. Recommended!

The owners at Patmos Villas treated us like family, and it felt like having another home away from home. We toured the whole island and still thought this was the best place to stay. It's peaceful, close to Grikos beach, and beautiful beaches and restaurants are only a three-minute walk away. The place itself is clean, comfortable, inviting, and lovely. We had an amazing stay and plan to return on our next trip to Patmos.
