The family who runs Alistos made the stay feel comfortable and homey. They’re warm, attentive, and thoughtful about every detail. Our room was beautifully decorated and practical, with a very comfortable bed. Both breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back.

Pierre and his family are wonderful hosts. We loved everything at Alistos, from the peaceful, luxurious setting and comfortable, gorgeous rooms to the amazing breakfast. The location is fantastic, and so are the people.

Paul and Antigone made us feel at home from the start, and we can’t say enough good things about them. We visited at the end of May 2024, and the beautiful, quiet surroundings were ideal for unwinding. Our spacious room was nicely decorated and very clean. The pool has no Chlorine, and sitting beside it with a book was our favourite way to relax. The breakfast was generous, and both dinners we ate there were among the best we had in Greece. We’re already eager to return. Ask about their road trip through Mani, which goes through lovely scenery and villages such as Limeni. We can’t recommend Alistos Hotel enough.

Set in the middle of Mediterranean countryside, this is a wonderful place, thoughtfully put together with care and taste. I’d recommend it all.

It feels like living in a Greek castle, and I could happily stay for months. The place is very high-end and peaceful, tucked into the countryside, but just a short drive from Gytheio. It’s a charming seaside town with upscale fish and local restaurants. If I’m back in this area, I’ll definitely stay here.
