Hani Zisi Hotel

The restaurant was the highlight: delicious food, with staff who were incredibly friendly and attentive. The view from the property is breathtaking, taking in the surrounding mountains and villages, with the sea visible in the distance. Chania is mainly a ski resort, so autumn is quiet, with little to do besides relax, retreat, and enjoy nature. With a car, there are plenty of other places to explore on Mount Pelion. The place has had significant renovations after last year’s flood, including a completely new reception and restaurant area. Our room’s bathroom was brand new and impeccably clean. The room itself felt a bit older, but was spacious, cozy, and well maintained. The bed was quite small, and on our last night it got a bit cold because the heating was off even though the outdoor temperature had fallen below freezing. Even with those downsides, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to disconnect and take in Pelion’s beauty.

For a 2-star hotel, I can’t believe how good the staff were: the men were respectful, smiling, and kind. I’m not sure whether to give it 5 stars or something else, but I do recommend it. The room was warm before I even got in, and the road was cleared of snow. The location is very close to the skiing resort, dinner was lovely, and the wine was sweet and not expensive. It was winter during our stay.

The menu was limited when we visited, but it was perfectly adequate, and breakfast was more than enough. Some staff spoke English, but there was enough communication to get by. The hotel is quirky, friendly, relaxing, and lovely and quiet, tucked away from the busy road. There’s definitely a sea view, though I’m not quite sure about the mountain view.

The summer view was amazing, and the breakfast was very tasty, with traditional products. The hotel is cozy, with comfortable rooms, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Amazing place. I’d definitely recommend staying here in summer or winter.
