Dimargio Luxury Hotel & Spa

George deserves a special mention for going out of his way to make things run smoothly, including arranging an early breakfast before we left. The breakfast had a great range and was excellent, and the whole team was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were a highlight too: spacious, bright, uncluttered, and practical, with a clean, modern feel throughout the hotel. Dimargio Hotel & Spa sits in a pedestrian area, so even with its central setting there was no traffic noise. Restaurants and bars are close by and open late, giving the neighborhood plenty of life without it feeling too much. It’s also under 15 minutes from the airport, which made getting in and out easy. I’d happily recommend it for the location, comfort, and service.

The staff were kind and really useful when we were sorting out transport and places to eat. I especially enjoyed chatting with the woman behind the bar. Our room was clean and modern, with a balcony looking out at the street and domes. It stayed quiet despite being so central. Heraklion turned out to be a nicer place to visit than people often suggest.

The people here were the real highlight: Katerina and Maria at reception, Eva and Ariadna serving, and Flora from housekeeping were all pros and made the stay memorable. The hotel itself is modern and spotless, with comfortable rooms, a tasty breakfast, and a pleasant patio. I’d definitely recommend it.

We liked the neighborhood, with independent cafes and shops on a quieter local street, while the attractions were still close by. The team looked after us throughout, and breakfast was delicious with lovely service. Katarina helped with all our bags when we arrived, checked us in early, and showed us our three rooms. She arranged them side by side and upgraded my parents. The rooms were modern and comfortable, with good beds, bath products, a Nespresso, toiletry kits, and other useful things. We’d gladly return. Thanks to Katarina and the team for making us feel so welcome.
