We ended up renting an Airbnb for the second night because we were so unimpressed, and we wouldn't stay here again. This was meant to be a 4-star hotel, but I had trouble seeing it as even 3-star. The breakfast selection was poor and there were no place settings laid out, so you had to get everything yourself. Staff didn't help us. The dark, gothic-feeling hallways were all black, and our windows were so grimy we could barely see out. We had no balcony. The room was nice, really the only part we liked. It looked good when we first arrived, and it's downtown, though I wouldn't have chosen it myself. We were on Crete for the last couple of days of a Greece trip, with transfers and hotels arranged by the company, and had upgraded to 4-star for the experience.

We had three adults in our group and spent five nights here. The location was handy, just a few minutes on foot from bus stops and the high street, and we enjoyed our stay. Our spacious, clean room had a balcony, which was a nice extra. Breakfast had loads of sweet and savory choices and was delicious. There was also a rooftop bar with excellent views. The staff happily printed our bus tickets, and the amenities were great.

Families should find the large rooms useful, especially since many have separate bedrooms, big sofa beds, or connecting rooms. The breakfast spread was good too. It's a solid hotel in a great spot in Heraklion, with the port and the main dining and shopping area just a short walk away.

The room was spacious, fairly modern, and clean, and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we even got a complimentary drink in the bar. There's discounted parking underneath the hotel, and the location is great.
