Malena Hotels and Suites felt like a real oasis, just a short walk from the public beach. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and each one comes with at least a jacuzzi. There are good restaurants, a supermarket, and bars nearby, with a bus stop right outside. The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to look after us during our stay. We felt welcome from beginning to end. I'd happily recommend it to friends and couples looking for a relaxing, well-run getaway, and we'll be back.

The breakfast was delicious, with lots of different choices each morning. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly, always ready to help with any request, and their hospitality made us feel welcome the whole time. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Highly recommend the hotel.

The breakfast view over the pool was lovely, and the spread had some really good ideas. We were staying at another Omilo’s hotel nearby, but came here each morning for the complimentary breakfast. The woman working in the kitchen was so welcoming. She’s from Sydney and moved to Crete after getting married, and she had a quick chat with my partner and me. As fellow Australians, we really enjoyed meeting her and hearing a little about life on the island. We’d definitely recommend it.

The room was roomy, there was a nice pool, and we were lucky to get the last parking spot. Check-in was easy, and the staff were kind and helpful. The big problem for us was cleanliness. The room didn’t feel properly cleaned, and things seemed quite unsanitary, right down to mold around the shower. Hopefully that improves, because otherwise Malena wasn’t a bad place for our short stay.

There were plenty of places to eat nearby, and the location worked well for parking. If you don't have a car, the bus stop is very close. Our room had everything we needed, though it was too cold to use the pool. Breakfast was good, and the staff were really friendly.
