ORION Eco Suites

It’s a lovely, peaceful retreat, especially in the busy summer season. The hotel is just moments from the highway exit and well placed for exploring the island by car. The rooms have charming themes and names from Greek gods, like Mars and Hermes. There’s a well-equipped kitchenette, and the thoughtful host left us delicious wine and refreshments in the fridge. A free room upgrade may also be available. After a day of sightseeing, the pool, jacuzzi and shade from olive and old pine trees make it a relaxing place to come back to. The mattresses are super comfortable too. We were also glad to be able to stay with a furry friend.

We stayed at Orion Eco Suites recently and left very disappointed. The room was nowhere near the clean, comfortable space shown online. It smelled unpleasant, had visible grime around the taps and drains, and there were flies in both the bathroom and kitchen. The furniture was old and worn, and the place felt neglected. The building is close to the airport and a highway. Outside, the atmosphere reminded us of a roadside restaurant. The windows did a decent job of keeping traffic noise out, but sounds from other rooms woke us up. There was a sauna, but the general lack of cleanliness and comfort made us unwilling to use the amenities. We paid 110 EUR for one night, which didn’t feel justified. We contacted management about what happened, but got no response, even after 10 days. What we found was so different from how the room was presented online that we felt misled. We hope future guests have a better stay, but based on ours, we can’t recommend this accommodation.

I loved how the place blends into the natural surroundings and is eco friendly. Both our room and the pool area were super clean, and the owners were always available. Thanks for helping us enjoy our vacation. See you next year.

Mrs Vaso, thank you for making our anniversary stay so lovely. The owner communicated well from the start and was very hospitable, and we really couldn’t fault the service. Our room, the dionysious suite with the hot tub, was spotless and had a great view. The pool area was lovely too, never busy, with comfortable loungers. They changed the towels and bed linen regularly, every 3 days, and even washed the dishes we’d left in the sink. We had everything we could need: pots, pans, utensils, a blender, washing up liquid, frothere, and more. A car is useful here. We expected that and had one. Walking to the beach takes around 35/40 minutes, which isn’t ideal in the heat and seems like a difficult walk. There are petrol stations nearby, LIDL is a 5 minute drive away, and little supermarkets are 3 minutes by car. The nearby beaches are really nice, and we went to beach clubs, with Paradise beach bar and Cacada beach bar as our favorites. It’s also a 15 minute drive to the city centre. I highly recommend staying here, just bring a car. We hope to come back!
