Rocca A Mare Heraklion - Handwritten Collection

We spent 5 days at Rocca a Mare in September and would definitely love to return. The hotel feels elegant and comfortable, with a warm atmosphere. Our spotless, well appointed room had a beautiful view, and the peaceful location made it easy to get into the city while still relaxing. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of choice. The whole team were professional, caring, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Highly recommended!

For a night before a flight, it worked well, and they were ready to prepare a breakfast bag for us. The staff were great, attentive, and helpful. The rooms are thoughtfully done and had everything we needed. We also liked the rooftop pool and bar. The pool is long enough for swimming, though it felt a bit cold and isn't really a place for kids to play, with the bar right beside it. The view is lovely, but I wouldn't choose the beach or the area in front for my children to play. The street outside is very noisy. Closing the windows helps, but it's still loud, with a baseline of 40 db on the second level and much higher peaks.

The service was outstanding and so friendly. Whenever we sat in the lobby, someone brought us water right away. Breakfast had a wide choice of local and international food, and there's a small modern gym with new equipment. The furnishings are modern, and it's close to the ocean. I'll come back!

The sea is right by the hotel, and the center of Heraklion is an easy short walk away, which worked well for both business and leisure. What really stood out was the team: welcoming, professional, and attentive from the moment we arrived. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, and comfortable, with quality apparent in the details. I strongly recommend it.
