The food selection wasn't large, but everything was tasty and it was easy to decide what to eat. The staff were nice, and our room was cleaned every day. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere and a lovely setting. Very satisfying for a three-star hotel. I definitely recommend it.

The rooms are clean and have everything you need, and the homemade food is really delicious. They serve a great variety of typical Greek dishes, including a vegetarian option every day. My mom and I have been coming back at the start of summer for 15 years, and it's always so welcoming to see the three brothers who own the hotel and much of the staff again. Lots of other guests return every year too.

Matala is such a beautiful place, with a special climate and a unique atmosphere. The hotel feels like the countryside, but it's still close to the main square and an easy 11-minute walk on flat ground to the main street and beach. It's quiet here, with no disco under the windows all night, so it's good for resting. There is a drink bar, restaurant, garden, and a lovely 20-meter pool under the palms. A few times a week they hold an event in the restaurant garden, like a concert or movie, without the noise and crowds you'd get in the village center. The homemade fresh food is excellent, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are helpful. The hotel has everything you need. I recommend it. Best regards!

The rooms are simple, but very clean, and the pool area is clean too. Staff were really friendly, and there was always something we could find to eat at breakfast and dinner. Valley Village is a little outside Matala, though the beach is still easy to reach. I'd recommend the hotel, the lovely beach, and Matala without hesitation. In the evening, a nice stroll through Matala's small shops followed by a drink in one of the bars is a good idea. You'll need to rent a car if you want to see more of Crete. Cheers...

The pool and very friendly staff were definite pluses, and the bathroom and shower seemed to have been renovated recently. The hotel was okay for one night, but I wouldn't want to spend a full week there. The Wi-Fi didn't work, the walls were extremely thin, and the room's power sockets and electricity weren't working properly. Buffet and à la carte choices were a bit limited. Breakfast was okay, though the coffee tasted like water.
