The pool was nice and quiet, and the rooms had everything we needed. We were there on holiday with nine other mates, and the place suited that kind of trip perfectly. It’s right on the strip, with good WiFi and a takeaway just across the road. Poppy from the bar staff was amazing.

I love loud, so this place suited me, though I wouldn’t recommend it for families with children. We had a fab week at Iilios1 apartment & help bar. The apartment was basic but had enough equipment for morning coffee, breakfast, and lunches if you wanted to make them. The cleaning lady came every day, was so friendly, and didn’t mind requests for clean towels. Poppy was great at the bar during the day, and Christine took over at night until the early hours.

The staff made our holiday such a fun one. Everyone was incredibly kind, the bar team made us feel welcome and included, and it got lively there at night. The hotel is right on the strip, with a cheap takeaway next door for when you get back at 5 a.m., and the WiFi was really good. The pool has a lovely view, isn’t huge, and never got too crowded. The rooms are basic, as you’d expect for the price, but had everything we needed. I’d seen reviews about them being dirty, but that wasn’t our experience: the cleaner came often and was really kind. I’ve had some bad stays in party spots like kavos, so this hotel really helped make our holiday amazing. I wouldn’t recommend it for families, though, given the noise and nightlife. We booked an apartment with a kitchen, but the kitchenette didn’t work, and the balcony was overrun with wasps so we couldn’t use it. The room was filthy when we checked in, with a pillow covered in hair and spots and a dirty toilet. We’d booked a queen size bed but got two single beds instead. When we asked the host for a refund because of the awful experience, they didn’t apologize and became verbally aggressive. We truly love Cretan people in general, and this was our second time in Crete. What happened left us feeling so bad that we may not come back. They completely ruined our holiday.
