Villa Iokasti

It was so good that, for once, I’d choose to come back here instead of trying somewhere new. We arrived at short notice and found the most beautiful self-catering place we’ve stayed in. Everything, including the rooms and shared areas, was a 10/10 for cleanliness. The pool is lovely, with well-kept, comfortable sunbeds, loungers, and mattresses. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, from the owner to housekeeping and maintenance. Shops, supermarkets, bakeries, and lots of lovely restaurants are nearby, but the property is set back enough to stay quiet at night. We only ate here one evening because there’s so much choice in town, but that was one of the best meals of our holiday too.

Villa Iokasti feels quiet and tucked away, yet it’s perfectly placed for exploring Koutouloufari. We had a beautiful stay that went beyond what we expected. The surroundings are lush, the apartments are clean and just the right size, and the team gave amazing service. They were also so lovely with my toddler. If you get the chance to stay, I’d recommend the breakfast basket and a meal at the fantastic restaurant.

Eleni, Kate, and the team took such good care of us during this warm, welcoming, homely stay in Crete. The hotel restaurant was fantastic too, serving authentic home-cooked Greek food in a gorgeous setting. It may have been my favourite meal of the whole trip. I’ll definitely be back.

We only stopped for lunch, so I can’t say much about the hotel itself, but the meal was great. We’d recommend eating here and will do so again next time.
