The hotel’s location worked really well for me. The beach is about a 100-meter walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and cafés close by. There’s no restaurant at the hotel, but with probably 20 restaurants within 200 meters, that wasn’t an issue. The staff were very friendly too. I paid a very cheap price for a week at Heleni Beach Hotel, so I’m judging it on what I got for the money. I’ve stayed in fancier places, and this isn’t a 5-star luxury hotel, but I didn’t find anything seriously wrong. The rooms are dated and a little worn, though comfortable enough, and room service cleaned them every day. The pool area was nice and clean, with a bar for refreshments on hot days. It might get crowded when more guests are around, but it stayed quiet and relaxing during my visit, usually with only a few people including me. Breakfast came with the room. I’ve had better and more varied breakfasts, but there was always enough for me. I enjoyed my stay. The travel agency’s 2-star rating doesn’t seem fair for this price, though the wear and tear means I can’t give it a full 5. A solid 4/5.

The hotel is in a nice area with shops and restaurants around, and taxis are fairly close. Rooms have a good terrace, mini fridge, and air conditioning. They’re nothing special, but there’s enough room for the number of people they’re meant to sleep. Breakfast is basic, though it does the job.

Daily power cuts meant we couldn’t use the air conditioning or fridge, and the room had bedbugs and cockroaches. It made the stay really uncomfortable. The staff were dismissive and unhelpful, and hotel employees gave the tour operator false information about what was happening. Terrible experience, I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The beach is just a two-minute walk away, and it’s easy to get to Rhodos town and the airport. We had a room with an amazing view and got a warm welcome. It’s a lovely, cozy, clean hotel for a really good price. My boyfriend and I aren’t fussy, so worn things didn’t bother us, as some other reviews mention. What mattered was that it was clean. We also knew the island can’t use huge amounts of water, so we tried to use it responsibly. We were sad to leave this beautiful place, which exceeded my expectations. Thank you again!
