I’ve just come home after a week at the kassandra apartments. We had a two-bedroom family apartment, and it was very basic. The shower seemed to have a mind of its own, but we weren’t there to spend all day indoors, so that was fine. For the low room prices, I think complaints about the basics are a bit unrealistic. The staff were all friendly and polite. The cleaner came in daily to empty the bins and make the beds. We enjoyed the restaurant, which had some nice choices at reasonable prices, and the bar staff were lovely and remembered our drinks. Karaoke ran several times a week and was lively and fun. It’s definitely not a five-star hotel, and it could use a refurb. But if you want a warm welcome at a family-run place close to public transport, local bars, shops, restaurants, and the beach, I’d recommend the kassandra apartments.

The reception team made our short break really special with helpful local tips and such a warm welcome. You could buy local bus tickets there, too. Thanks to Dimetra and the colleague we saw in the mornings, whose name I’m sorry I’ve forgotten. What a lovely team! We booked somewhere simple and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was huge, and the garden and pool were great places to relax. There’s also a pebble beach just a few minutes away. Thank you💪🔥💯

We had a really good time at Kassandra, the five of us, with children aged 10, 12, and 14. We ate breakfast in the apartment and often had lunch or dinner at the restaurant. It’s a cheap option. If you want something fancy and are happy to pay double, go for that. We preferred staying here and spending our money on excursions :)

It’s a self-catering apartment, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The rooms were cleaned daily and had fresh towels, the staff were brilliant, and the bar was great. We loved the pool, too. It’s not a five-star resort, but they don’t claim it is.

There are a few good things about this hotel: it has two children’s pools and two larger ones, a lift for the upper floors, and a playground. The location is handy for the beach and shops, close enough to walk but far enough from the street noise. The staff made the stay miserable. The older receptionist was the least service-minded person I’ve met. She couldn’t keep a number straight or communicate well with the staff. We specifically requested a baby cot and didn’t get one. We had to contact the travel agency to get one and have the room properly cleaned. The room itself was filthy. The floors were sticky, the beds were dirty and stained, and there was mold all over the bathroom. The freezer was packed with ice, so we had to defrost it on our first day to fit ice cream in. There were loose electrical outlets at a baby’s height, and the shower would suddenly turn scalding hot or freezing cold. The lift also needs servicing, as sometimes the buttons didn’t work and we were left trying to press them. The pools were badly maintained and needed a serious clean. We couldn’t see our feet in the water, and after a few days all our swimwear had turned green and was ruined. Maybe we should have asked for money for the damaged clothes. There was dog poo in the playground, and it took four days to clean up after we told reception. Our shower got stuck on hot water. We reported it at 7 pm, and at 9 pm it was still running. The receptionist acted surprised and said it would be fixed in ten minutes. It wasn’t repaired until 11:30 pm, so our two-year-old couldn’t go to bed before then. There was a constant sewer smell near one of the pool areas, the sunbeds, and the restaurant. The towels and sheets all smelled of cigarettes, perhaps because staff smoked in the corridor beside the laundry room. Smoking was also allowed indoors throughout the hotel. None of that felt family-friendly.
