The beach is within walking distance, and there’s a bus stop right outside. Buses to town and the port come every 15 minutes and cost €2. It’s a very nice hotel with a great view of Mylopotamos beach.

The hostess was really friendly and lent us beach towels when we’d forgotten ours. Our room had been recently renovated, so it looked clean and modern while still feeling cosy. It’s a lovely place to stay in a perfect location, just a five minute walk from the beach. I’ll definitely come back when I visit Ios. Thank you, Manthos Place!

The owner and staff are nice, and the rooms are clean and fresh. There’s a great pool, and the hotel is close to the beach. If you don’t feel like walking into town, there’s a bus stop nearby, though the walk is nice too. Beautiful hotel with a perfect view of the best beach, Milopotas. Thumbs up for Manthos place!

The beach was a real highlight, just a four-minute walk down a small lane, with amazingly clear, warm water and plenty of water sports, bars, places to eat, and mini marts nearby. The hotel itself has pretty whitewashed buildings, a well-kept pool and gardens, and the hosts welcomed us at the port and pointed out sights on the 15-minute ride over. The local buses were good value, punctual, and had friendly conductors. We visited in September as party season was winding down, though there was still lots of nightlife and plenty of people in their twenties enjoying the last of summer. Solo travellers won't stay solo for long on such a friendly, sociable island.

The beach and a bus stop are both close by, so getting around was easy. We had a lovely welcome from the friendly, helpful staff, and the view was beautiful.
