Daniel Hotel

We had a really relaxing stay while we were in town for a wedding. The pool was lovely, and the food was good. The hotel sits down a country road, roughly a 10-15 minute walk from the main bars and restaurants. The staff were lovely and always happy to help.

The food was a highlight for us: we loved the Greek salad, gyros and homemade fries, and would definitely recommend eating here. The pool is a good size, with a lovely view across farmland, and our room had a fantastic view too. We found the double bed comfortable and the bathroom fairly modern. The kind staff welcomed us when we arrived, and Daniel family made us feel very grateful. Mythos is cool and fresh, with truly fantastic service. You can tell the place is loved by the regulars who come back year after year. We hope to return one day.

The pool felt luxurious, and it was rarely busy, so we never had to compete for a sunbed. Hotel Daniel is far enough from the strip to stay quiet, but still an easy 10-15 minute walk. For dinner, Michaelos restaurant is about five minutes away on foot, and we recommend it. The service was fab, the staff couldn't do more for us, and the food was good. Breakfast was basic but included in our deal, with other meals available to pay for. Our one-week stay was enjoyable overall. The room was basic and okay, which was all we wanted, though the mattress was very thin and springy. We didn't raise it with the owners, so can't complain too much, but we sometimes struggled to sleep and layered towels on it. On the last two nights, we had a lot of noise from the room beneath us, which kept us from sleeping. It continued until 5am on the final night. We may just have been unlucky with who was placed below us, but it wasn't what we expected at a quiet, largely adults-only hotel. We spoke to the owners, and they apologised.

The pool bar food was delicious, and the homemade olives were the best I've ever had. The family who run the hotel and the staff are all very nice and ready to help. It's a calm spot surrounded by farms, so you might wake to roosters crowing. The rooms looked much worse in the tour photos than they actually were.
