Elite City Resort

We stayed at Elite eight years ago as a couple and were upgraded to the Junior Suite Room, so we had fond memories. This time, with our toddler in a double sea view room, it didn't feel the same. The hotel feels more like a conference centre. The sea view was lovely, and the room layout handled our three full size luggages plus carry-ons pretty well despite the limited space. It stayed dark enough during the day and morning for our daughter to sleep reasonably well at the foot of the bed. The restaurant had a kids menu, and the food overall was kid friendly and pretty tasty. There were some drawbacks. The room decor was dated and showed wear, with repainting needed. The shower temperature switched between hot and cold. Breakfast was basic: no eggs made to order, peanut butter, or proper fresh fruit, just small fruit bowls that weren't the best, and lattes weren't included. In mid September, beach service stopped after lunchtime, though the hotel is next to Secada beach bar. The beach chairs weren't padded, and the tunnel between the beach and hotel was closed. There was no shade on the balcony at midday, and some road noise came through, though the AC fan helped cover it overnight. Service had its good moments and misses at the restaurant and front desk, while the security guard was very nice. The playground had no shade during the day and wasn't well lit at night, so we could only use it a little. We probably wouldn't stay here again, though it's well priced compared with nicer options in the area.

The location was perfect, just 2 minutes to the beach on good... The staff were professional and friendly, the rooms sparkling clean, and the beds so comfortable. We had a wonderful stay at Elite, brilliant all round. Thank you!

I stayed four nights, and the price felt especially hard to justify during the busy tourist season. The rooms were expensive, but the quality didn't match what we paid or the comfort and updates we expected. The property felt dated, with old, stained carpets in the hallways. We had booked two rooms, and one smelled strongly of fish, likely from the kitchen below. We switched rooms, but the replacement was dark, had very little natural light, and a disappointing balcony view. Then the Wi-Fi was out for a full day, which was frustrating because we needed it for work. Worst of all, we found a cockroach in our room. That's unacceptable for a hotel at this price. The hotel needs to deal with its maintenance problems and be more transparent about what guests can expect. I hope management takes this feedback seriously.

I was at a conference held at the hotel and stayed in one of its bungalows. The room was spacious, clean, nicely furnished, and had very good air conditioning. The hotel has a basketball court and a large swimming pool, among other amenities, and breakfast was delicious. Staff were very polite and service-oriented. Each morning I went for a jog from the hotel to the harbor. Running along the outer harbor wall beside the sea is highly recommended. After the conference, I spent an hour or two on the beach, which you can reach directly through a tunnel under the street. I enjoyed the stay very much. If it's your first time in Greece, try bougatsa for breakfast and the iced coffee, "fredo cappuccino."
