Youth Of Dope Hostel

I loved the place and the view, plus the dogs and cats were lovely. Youth of Dope is the best hostel I’ve stayed at. It doesn’t really feel like a hostel, thanks to the kind, friendly owner and staff who put so much into it. The small concerts with traditional Creten music and dance were great too. I’ll be back :)

This was an ideal place for me as a solo traveler, though a few friends could stay here too. Everyone was very friendly and knew a lot about Crete. The owner helped me plan my very spontaneous vacation, with suggestions on where to go and hike and what transport to take. It’s close to the airport but far from everything else, though a local will give you a lift.

We came with a large group of colleagues and friends, and Dimitris, Dori, and their team went all out with advice and help planning activities nearby. YOD has great facilities and a convenient location for the airport, Chania, and natural landmarks. It’s peaceful, and the people are great.

Everyone was cheerful and helpful, with lots of ideas for hikes, activities, and places to visit. I slept well, had a good shower, and the included breakfast set me up for the day. The staff were really friendly, the facilities decent, and the dogs super friendly too. It’s conveniently located by Chania Airport. I’d highly recommend it!
