Host El Greco - Hostel

Dora makes the hostel feel like part of her home, and her cooking is really nice too. We had lots of volunteers while we were there, so everything stayed clean. It was such a good hostel experience that I felt compelled to write my first Google review.

I booked three nights at first, then extended my stay because I had such a great time. The rooms have what you need and cost a great price, and the location and surrounding area are incredible. The best part, though, is the lovely owner Dora and the volunteers who help run the hostel. There's delicious home cooking, great times, and lifelong friendships to be made here!!!

After more than 9 days of travel and five hostels, this was easily my favorite host, and that's what makes this place so special. She grows her own ingredients and keeps serving food until you can't manage another bite. She even helped arrange a sunset drive up in the mountains with a local shop owner. I highly recommend staying for that alone. The rooms and Wi-Fi are up to par, no complaints.

Dora is definitely the star of Meteora! I travel a lot and usually stay in hostels, but here it felt like being at my grandma's place. It was so cozy and home-like, with amazing food, Dora's stories, and friends made among the roommates. She made our time unforgettable, and we'll definitely come back every summer.
