Blue White House

Getting here was easy, and we were given such a warm welcome. The price felt right, and the apartment was cleaned every day. From the village, all the beaches were about a half-hour drive away, so having a car or scooter is a must. Thanks, we’ll definitely return 🔙

Blue White House was just what we wanted for exploring Lefkada, with easy access to beaches, restaurants, and sights. Getting there was simple: from the village center, follow the road toward the beach, turn right at the first road, and the parking area is at the end. There’s room for 10 cars, so we had no trouble leaving ours safely. The rooms are in three buildings on the left, surrounded by green trees and colorful flowers. There are double, triple, and family rooms. Ours was in the first building. The blue and white houses are lovely and give you that Greek atmosphere, with well-kept furniture, a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a balcony with a table and chairs for coffee or an evening beer or wine. Our room got morning sun, then shade around midday, which made it comfortable for an afternoon nap even during the hot Greek summer. There was a cooling machine and TV, but we didn’t need either. The staff were friendly, cleaned and changed the towels daily, and left our belongings untouched. They answered questions when I asked and even gave our baby small gifts. There’s a market five minutes away on foot, along with O Platanos, Lonias, and Ionio restaurants. Ionio is near the market, where you can also buy good olive oil. Panoramic View and Veranta are about five minutes away by car at the start of the village as you come from Ag. Nikitas. Kalamitsi beach, Megali Petra, and Avali are around a 10-minute drive down the winding road. I’ll stay here again when I visit Lefkada. Best wishes to Evi and the O Platanos staff! Evi is a lovely lady, always so positive, and the place is good value for Lefkada. The studios are clean, authentic, and painted blue and white. There’s plenty of room for children, and it’s quiet and nice for resting. The village of Kalimitsi is the downside. It’s up a hill, the road is narrow enough that two cars can’t pass side by side, and there’s nowhere to go for a walk. There’s one tavern and no supermarkets.

It’s a lovely, quiet spot, and the owner is kind and happy to help with whatever you need. The nearby beaches are beautiful. You do need a car or scooter to get around, though. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
