The flat had everything we needed, and that terrace overlooking the sea was wonderful. You could hear the water and enjoy the view in the evening with a gentle Mediterranean breeze. The hosts were incredibly attentive, the nicest you could hope for. The fantastic beach is within walking distance, Chania’s lively old town is 10 minutes by car, and shops and restaurants are nearby. We loved it and will be back. Gabi & Peter, October 2024.

We stayed for a full week with four friends, and all of us loved this villa. Efi and Spiros were such warm hosts. The villa sits high on a hill, a short drive from Chania airport, with peaceful, romantic views. The private beach and most of the bay are free of boat traffic, so swimming is fantastic, and there’s great snorkeling around the island a short swim away. The villa is sparkling clean, spacious, and well equipped, with a huge terrace, comfortable outdoor furniture, and a large covered dining area. The kitchen and laundry have what you need day to day, the wifi was great, and everything worked. There are authentic restaurants within walking distance or a short drive, and plenty of places to explore for different levels of adventure. You can also happily spend days relaxing without leaving. The sunsets and moon rises are amazing. Efharisto, Efi and Spiros, we’ll be back!

Efi and Spiros were lovely, warm hosts who even picked us up from and dropped us off at the airport, then helped with everything we needed. The villa has all the amenities and beach accessories you might want for a holiday. It’s a 10-minute walk to the beach, with good restaurants nearby, and a splendid view of the beach and sunset. Thanks to them for making our trip memorable.

We went to the beach twice a day, and the shallow water at Kalathas Beach stayed warm and calm, making it ideal for children. The villa is conveniently located near both Chania and the airport, right across from the beach, yet still feels private. It’s comfortable and high quality for a family stay. There’s a lovely garden and views from the villa at every time of day, from sunrise through sunset, and at night you can see fireworks from Chania. The terrace has a covered outdoor table for six, sunbeds, another table for two under a parasol, and plenty more for relaxing. It’s equipped with the household appliances you need, including an iron, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, and hairdryer. The owners made the stay special with their help and advice. They welcomed us throughout, helped with shopping and transport, and did many other things for us. We felt like welcome guests, almost like close friends.

Efi and Spiros were the real treasures here. They were incredibly attentive, and Efi checked in casually each day to see how we were doing and whether we needed anything. The kitchen already had cereal, milk, juice, eggs, two bottles of wine, and a bottle of Cretan raki. They’d even thought of things like laundry detergent and toothpaste. Four of us shared the apartment for four days this October, and it was seriously perfect: spacious, comfortable, well equipped, with a spectacular view. Each of the three bedrooms has double glass doors opening onto the huge private terrace, with shutters and screens. There’s an umbrella and awning, plus a table and plenty of chairs and loungers. The short, steep driveway can be daunting. Spiros met us at the entrance on the first day, explained how to manage it, and guided us up. After that it felt natural. Civilian and military planes fly overhead, but there aren’t that many. The beach is very close, Chania is a 20-minute drive, and Spiros can tell you where to park. We loved this place.
