We had breakfast on the balcony as the sun came up, with an amazing view across the city to the ocean. This was our best stay in Greece, with the kindest host and a wonderful apartment. The place is called lila, meaning violet, and feels more like a luxury boutique stay than a regular apartment. Definitely go!

The view over Kalathos Bay is breathtaking, and we think the sea here is the best on the island. The water is crystal clear, perhaps because there aren't any large hotels nearby discharging wastewater into it. Anthoula is very attentive and even cleans the rooms while we're staying. She speaks German and English too. We've come back again, which is unusual for us, because we really like her place. We're having a wonderful time and will definitely return next year.

Anthoula, Michalis and Achilleas are genuinely hospitable and take care of everything, so you feel at home here. That personal attention is a big difference from the impersonal service of a multi-star hotel. I love sitting on Anthoula's priceless balcony under the stars, looking out unobstructed toward the nearby beach and knowing the host truly cares that I'm enjoying myself. The accommodation is luxurious, and the glamorous photos really do match what you find, though they may not quite capture how good the whole place feels. It's one of the island's best alternatives to the usual all-inclusive hotel. Booking here will be well worth it.
