Maistrali

The owner cooks too, and everything we ate was fresh and felt safe. The meal was delicious and reasonably priced for any budget. I’d recommend this place if you want to relax and try traditional Greek food.

We, Jolanda and Marianne, had such a pleasant stay at Maistrali. The room was clean and breakfast was delicious. The host makes lovely food from fresh ingredients, and in the evening the hostess brings tasty snacks to enjoy with a glass of wine on the terrace. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

We came to Kalavarda to look for an old friend and found Mistrali restaurant/Hotel. It was early season, midmorning, and the outdoor tables were empty after the guests had gone out for the day. The owner and his wife opened the kitchen and made us Greek salad, drinks and cooked food, without making us feel we were imposing. Their Greek hospitality was clear from the start. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but the food was great, the service excellent and the atmosphere wonderful. You really feel the spirit of Greece here, and I’d encourage any traveler to visit.

We spent one night in a basic room. The air conditioner was a little noisy, though it worked fine. It’s not far from the airport if you’re leaving early in the morning.
