The family really care about your stay and are very welcoming. My room on the second floor had poor Wi-Fi, so I found it easier to use mobile data. Air conditioning costs an extra €11 per night, and the rooms are basic but comfortable. It’s quite far from places, which is peaceful but inconvenient if you want to go to Faliraki. Taxis are about €10 each way; the nearest shop is roughly a 20 minute walk, bars start around 25 minutes away, and the beach is an easy 40 minutes on foot, which I timed. Coming back means a very steep uphill walk for miles. I enjoyed my time at Oleander, and any problems I had were fixed quickly.

The owners’ kindness really stayed with me. Alex, who built the hotel, even cooked very late for my friend and me when we arrived late, and the family gave us their number in case we needed help. They went out of their way to assist, including giving us a lift into faliraki town when we couldn’t get a taxi. The rooms are lovely and simple, just what you need. Air conditioning is €7 per room per day, which we didn’t mind given the cost of living and energy bills. The pool is refreshing after a sunny day, and the hotel views are breathtaking. The most reliable bus stop for Lindos is a 22 minute walk downhill. The town is about 35 minutes away, or 30 if you’re fast, and there’s a small shop about 15 minutes down the hill. A taxi is your friend for the trip back up and costs €10. This family and their kindness and way of life will always mean a lot to me. I can’t wait to visit again.

We arrived at 11:30pm, after dinner service had ended at 10, but the staff kindly cooked us pizzas. Everyone was tremendously friendly, and the person who greeted us gave us his number so we could ask for help with buses, taxis, or questions about the hotel and rooms. The pool is warm and the food is good. Air conditioning costs €7, which we didn’t mind paying, as it must cost a lot to provide. There’s a small shop about a 14 minute walk away. The beach and Faliraki town are around a 35 minute walk downhill, an easy walk, but the way back is uphill, so it’s easy to take a €10 taxi. We’ll 100% be back to this lovely hidden gem. Definitely worth every penny.

It’s about 2.5 km from town, and a taxi costs €8-10, while the return fare is €6. The quiet setting was a real bonus, with lovely views over the town and beach and a pool we almost had to ourselves each day. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the owners were very nice and helpful. Our room was a good size, spotless, and had a good shower with strong water pressure. Air conditioning is available for €7 a day if it isn’t already included in your package. The basic food was perfectly adequate, and there were plenty of hot and cold drinks. I’d definitely recommend it.
