Ella Elissa – Adults Only

We had a great time taking one of the self-drive boats from the beach and exploring the bays. They go pretty fast. The beach staff also gave excellent service, and the steak restaurant was so good that we returned the next night. The Greek wine they recommended was exceptional. We were first booked at the Helea Hotel, then upgraded to Elissa. I was unsure about the change, but the swim-up room turned out to be better than expected, modern and clean, with a pool that made it feel special. The hotel was peaceful, and staff were attentive and helpful. The buffet was nice, if nothing fancy, with something for everyone. I’d suggest the pumpkin risotto. A friendly, observant woman, I think her name was Julia, helped people with their drinks. After checkout, my partner couldn’t find his car keys. We searched and asked reception, and the cleaners had found them. We were relieved and grateful to the reception and cleaning teams for being so helpful.

Our week at Elissa turned into a mini honeymoon after our wedding, and we’re still over the moon about it. We stayed in deluxe room 8309, which had a fantastic location, and the hotel felt like paradise. It’s a luxurious 5-star adults-only place, with great food and drinks, attentive service at the beach and pool, and a modern, spotless feel. Someone seemed to be cleaning all the time, and our room was always clean too. For the wedding day, we asked for more space to get ready with several people and a photographer. They kindly offered us the executive lounge for the hours we needed and even bought a mirror for me. I was speechless. The staff were friendly and attentive, and seemed to enjoy their work. Barry on the beach did a fantastic job with a smile, as did the towel guy, Michalis at the pool bar, the housekeepers, cleaners, reception and luggage teams, and everyone else whose names we can’t remember. We loved it and will be back. I’d rate this hotel six stars.

We had an amazing week in October 2025. The resort was luxurious and very clean, with a great location, just a 10-minute drive from Old Town Rhodes. Our spacious room was nicely laid out, and the staff were warm, helpful, and provided great service. Both the buffet and à la carte restaurants were sensational. After a mix-up with our room on arrival, we were given complimentary spa massages and a day of all-inclusive service, which was very generous. There are lots of lovely pools, plenty of loungers and space, and I especially liked the yoga area. Thank you!

The staff were friendly and did a good job, especially at reception and the main bar, and the food at the onsite restaurant was very good. But the main pool bar and seating area felt too small, and the bar staff, as opposed to the waiting staff, seemed disinterested. The hotel was underwhelming for the price. It falls short of its 5-star billing, with too many oversights and too little attention to the details that make a 5-star stay. I’d call it a solid 4 stars. Building work was noisy morning, noon, and into the late evening. Avoid block 6, which is away from the main hotel. We had a good holiday, but I won’t return and would urge others to think carefully before choosing it. For a true 5-star stay, try the IKOS hotels in Corfu, Kos, or Crete. In reply to the hotel: thanks for responding. Unfortunately, the response itself showed the lack of customer service I meant. It acknowledged only the positives and didn’t address the building work, the disinterested front desk, or the lack of attention to detail. Regret is welcome, but the issues won’t be fixed without first accepting them. I’m not sure this feedback will help the hotel learn if it can’t do that.
