The biggest thing that hurt our stay was the reception team. Two people on the morning and daytime shifts came across as rude and arrogant. They avoided eye contact, spoke condescendingly, and made us feel like a nuisance. Even ordinary questions about restaurant hours or buffet prices got a look and a reminder that the information had been given at check-in. We saw the same treatment toward other guests and colleagues helping with luggage. That stood out because the luggage team themselves were excellent, as were most of the staff. The Da Vinci breakfast crew and the Gondola lunch team were especially warm, and staff were wonderful with our children, aged two years and nine months. There’s a lot to like about the hotel. It’s beautiful, with lovely spaces and plenty of pools, and the children loved the bubble party run by an outside company on Tuesdays and Fridays. The organizers were really engaged. Our other frustrations were mostly about timing and flexibility. The pools were only open from 10 to 18, which didn’t suit our early rising kids, and there wasn’t a restaurant with more flexible hours. An easy à la carte option during the day would have helped, so we could eat lunch at 11 or dinner at 17. Booking any à la carte restaurant required using an app at least a day ahead, and some days bookings weren’t available even when places looked half empty. We missed being able to make spontaneous plans. The coffee was another oddity: it was undrinkable in the restaurants, while the Coffee House served very good coffee. It seemed strange not to have the same coffee elsewhere. We’d have been happy to pay for a good cappuccino, but the Coffee House didn’t open until 11. The towel arrangement was confusing too. As we understood it, towels changed every other day, but we had to leave them in the room for housekeeping, so we couldn’t take them to the pool that day. There’s plenty of potential here, and some of these points may just be our preferences and seem easy enough to fix. But the reception staff had the strongest negative effect on our experience.

The adults only section stayed peaceful and quiet throughout our two weeks at La Marquise in May 2026. We had a room with a private pool, and the spacious, spotless room was well kept, with everything working properly. On the terrace, there were padded sunbeds and a big umbrella, and it got sun from morning through evening. Service was what really stood out. Everyone we met was warm, professional, and attentive in a natural way. At the buffet, the food was fresh, varied, and delicious, and sometimes our drinks were already on the table when we arrived. The à la carte restaurants and bars had the same friendly, efficient service. The facilities, food, and care made for a relaxing, high quality holiday. It felt like everything had been looked after, and we left happy to recommend La Marquise to anyone wanting a peaceful, well run, beautifully maintained stay.

We’ve just returned from two great weeks at La Marquise in Kallithea, Rhodes, and are already looking forward to coming back. The food and drinks were excellent, there were lots of places to eat, and everything was kept so clean. The staff made the biggest impression, especially the restaurant team, whose service and knowledge of guests were more than five star. Thanks in particular to Vasil, Daniel, Hasan and Vasilis. They’re a real credit to the hotel. We’d highly recommend it.

We’ll remember our honeymoon at La Marquise Luxury resort for a long time. Even though we were there right at the start of the season, we were very happy with our choice. We stayed in the adults only area, where Carolos at the pool bar looked after us brilliantly. Most mornings we had breakfast at L'Etoile, and Jonida greeted us with tea and a smile each time. The rooms and grounds were fantastic, and the food was delicious, especially in the A La Carte restaurants. Everyone was so helpful, including the porters who drove us around in the club cars. There was entertainment every evening, and the acts were always very good. Thanks to everyone for making our honeymoon so memorable. We’ll definitely return!
