Lacoba Hotel – Adults Only

This is a clean, quiet, fairly ordinary hotel that doesn’t cost much. Even the cheapest rooms are decent, and the rooms look more upscale than you might expect, with lots of mirrors and a big TV with adult channels. Breakfast was good enough. The only small issue in my room was the shower, which wasn’t enclosed well and left water everywhere. There aren’t many cafes nearby, though taking a taxi or walking farther is fine. By the park, there’s a spot where the old hippodrome used to be, with tables and chairs where you can bring your own food and drinks.

The hotel itself isn’t bad, but payment is due for the full stay or one day at a time. I prepaid by card and had to leave early, and they wouldn’t refund the unused days. The place is also full of "butterflies".

I’m certain I lost money at this hotel. It was in my wallet, inside my backpack and suitcase. I’d forgotten to lock them, which was my mistake, but it felt like some people here thought that gave them the right to go through my things. I reported it to Reception, and they told me to contact the Police, which I did. The hotel didn’t even investigate. I felt very unsafe and wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were really nice, and the location was convenient, though it’s quite a way from the airport and there’s no shuttle. My room wasn’t very spacious, and the bathroom was tiny, especially the shower and sink.
