Our room had small insects in it, which we identified as little croton bugs. We've included a photo of one. The bed creaked loudly whenever we moved, and we were honestly worried it might break. It wasn't comfortable. The room itself was around 15 m², with a bathroom so cramped that even someone with a size 38 frame could barely move. There was no towel rack or holder for the showerhead, and the Wi-Fi didn't work at all. We paid €77 for one night's lodging and another €32 for the ferry. Since we didn't know Crete, we hadn't realized when booking that Loutra can't be reached by land. Nobody told us we could instead take a boat crossing for €10 round-trip per person. Based on this and the other places we stayed during our three-week trip in Crete, this was disappointing. Unless you really want to visit Loutra, I don't think an overnight stay makes much sense when you can see it in a day by boat and return. We couldn't tell whether we were being treated kindly or simply considered the least valuable guests, so we filmed the room we were given to show what it was like.

It's not right by the beach, which made it really quiet and peaceful, just right for relaxing. The rooms were lovely, spacious, and comfortable for a family with a child. Everything was very clean, with fresh towels and room cleaning each day. The host was happy to help and make our stay easier. See you again next summer.

We had a really nice stay and enjoyed having a balcony. It's a quiet spot for a relaxing break, very close to the beach and restaurants. Breakfast and laundry are available too, for an extra fee.

Breakfast was included: fresh-squeezed local orange juice, nice bread, butter, honey, jam, and coffee or tea. The WiFi had full signal throughout. Prices were about the same as similar rooms in the village, but these rooms were nicer and bigger. Late spring is a good time to come for fewer crowds. Because a room was available, we were upgraded to a large room for four with a great sea view.

We booked for two days at €40 a day, for two adults and our kids, ages 3 and 5. When we got back from our walk on the second day, the room had been cleaned :) The place was clean, the staff were great, and it was the best price. Loutro itself is a beautiful bay with clear water and some really nice tavernas. It's good for snorkeling and boat tours. We came on the local ferry, paying €10 per adult, €6 for the five-year-old, and nothing for the three-year-old. We also managed to walk to nearby villages that are accessible by car.
