Both the manager and housekeeper were friendly and very helpful, and the room itself was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, the shower nice and hot, and central Fira is close enough to walk to restaurants and attractions. We did have a disappointing problem with the jacuzzis: in cool weather they apparently can’t keep up, so the water stayed cold and we couldn’t use them. I wish we’d been told before arriving so we could have made other arrangements. Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay.

We arrived to welcome glasses of wine and homemade apple pie, such a lovely touch. The room was immaculate and comfortable, with a warm, private outdoor hot tub and terrace. The hosts were very friendly, the service was exceptional, and the breakfast selection brought to our room was perfect.

The only person who really helped us was the house lady who served breakfast and cleaned. We booked after Google described this as a four-star hotel, but it felt like an Airbnb with a few suites. Our room was spacious, though the bathroom was tiny, and the suite had no view, opening onto an alley. We had several problems: the sink kept clogging, and the power went out a few times in the middle of the night with no support. My husband got it back by switching the power grid on. It happened again the next morning, and the manager couldn’t help. We were also locked out once, and my son got in through a window. They say there are cameras, but we still felt unsafe. The room safe didn’t work either.

The host was very accommodating, and the room was great. We went in the off season and got a cheaper rate, but the hot tub wasn’t hot at all, which was a letdown on a cold night when we’d been looking forward to using it. There was no breakfast or airport shuttle either. We had to take taxis to get around, and they were very expensive.

The rooms were spacious, and the host replied to messages at almost any time. Papi, the maid, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We’d definitely stay again.
