The Convo Syngrou Apartments

Some good restaurants are nearby, and the park across the highway is nice for a run. I’d suggest using the tram, since it’s the closest transit stop. The room was nice and suited me well during my stay in Athens, and traffic noise didn’t bother me.

The bed was the main problem for me. It sinks in and is very uncomfortable, so the hotel really needs to invest in a better mattress. More pillows would help too. The room itself has decent space, and I appreciated the iron, hairdryer, large TV, kitchen, and extra towels in the drawer. The hairdryer did cut out sometimes. There should be somewhere in the bathroom for a toothbrush and bath slippers, and they could leave more coffee and sugar. Being next to Syngrou avenue means plenty of bus options, but it gets very noisy day and night if the windows are open. Closing them does help.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and the area has plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs within a short walk. Even with the nightlife and main road nearby, it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. I did have trouble securing my things because the locker wouldn’t turn properly. The shower also sprays water across the floor, whether using the overhead or handheld head. Enclosing that area would make it more practical and prevent the mess.

Check-in was easy, the staff were friendly, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Great location too.
