Aparthotel 3 Stars Kalyves

The sea view was fabulous, and the rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and made us feel at home.

We had a peaceful, relaxing stay in a tidy, cozy apartment with everything we needed. The sea is just steps away, and Chania is 5 minutes away. We also enjoyed the view from the balcony. The kind, welcoming staff were always ready to help. A couple of things could be better: the WiFi signal in our room was poor, which made remote work difficult, and there was no shade on the balcony, so it was hard to use during the hottest part of the day. Even with those drawbacks, I'd recommend this place for a relaxing escape. A few improvements would make it perfect.

The owner, Panos, was wonderful to deal with when we booked by phone and followed up by email. We ran into a small problem renting a car at the airport, called him, and within about five minutes we were on our way to the hotel. He met us there himself even though it was already around 11:00 PM. Our apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable, peaceful stay, and the restaurant downstairs didn't disturb the guests. The hotel itself is lovely and well located, with a great view from every room or apartment. There’s a nearby supermarket and a tavern with different food options from the hotel restaurant. The beach is within walking distance, and the livelier part of Kalyves is about a 5-7 minute walk in the other direction. Our time in Crete wouldn’t have been the same without staying at Porto Kalyves Aparthotel.

Our whole group was here for a wedding, and the team at Porto Kalyves and Cactus, the restaurant next door, made the stay so easy and enjoyable. They had everything we might need, including irons, steamers, and hair dryers, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during the heat wave. The rooms were spacious, they helped arrange taxis and rides, and they extended our stay when we got stuck. Everyone was warm, kind, and accommodating in every way. Even the bride and groom were jealous of how much fun we had. We’d love to come back and would recommend it to anyone.
