Kastro Kera

The hosts are kind and do what they can to help. The location and property are serene, with a beautiful sea view from one window and mountain view from the other. Our room was simple but adequate and good value. You can get onto a secluded beach, though it’s very narrow, with little room to lounge or play. It’s still a perfectly good place to enter the shallow water, and the lounge area they’ve made just above the beach works fine. Canoes and sand and water toys are there to use. There are no shops or restaurants right at the hotel, but two towns are a 15-minute walk away.

The hosts, Adriana and Vasilis, are so hospitable, generous and lovely. Our studio came with homemade wine and olive oil, both delicious, and Adriana gave us great tips for trips and hikes, including nearby ones. They both speak very good German too. The studios are clean, modern, comfortable, well equipped and spacious, with gorgeous ocean views for a great price. Ask for a sea-view room. There’s private beach access, a shower, plenty of beach gear including chairs, sun beds and inflatable toys, and lots of shade from the trees. We’ll definitely come again!

The homemade olive oil was waiting in the kitchen, and the studio had everything we needed. It was very spacious and clean, with an amazing view from both the window and balcony. There’s a private beach, and it’s a beautiful 15-minute walk to Almyrida beach or 20 minutes to Kalyves, where there are shops, restaurants and more. If you need to work, make sure the WiFi is working properly.

We come back every year because it’s such a nice place to stay. Kera beach is wonderful and never too crowded. The people running Kastro Kera Hotel are kind and helpful, and the rooms are all very clean with really nice room service.
