The quiet hillside setting gives you lovely views and keeps you away from the bustle of the port. Since the property is uphill, the free shuttle on request was a much appreciated help. We also enjoyed the pool area as a comfortable spot for a break, especially before leaving. Our room was modern and thoughtfully laid out, with about 18 m² of space that worked well for us. The private terrace overlooking the port was a great place to unwind at any time of day. Breakfast each morning had lots of fresh choices, and they thoughtfully catered for vegan and vegetarian needs. This family-run place made a real difference to our stay. From the warm welcome to the care taken to keep standards high throughout, you could feel the attention to detail. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend it.

The family were so lovely and welcoming, and the mum especially reminded me of my own. We felt right at home. They arranged everything for us and even provided free transport to the port, since the hotel is uphill. Our spacious room had all the facilities we needed and a wonderful sea and beach view from both the room and balcony. The pool area was really relaxing too. We couldn't have asked for a better stay, and we'll be back.

The family staff took care of us and any issues that came up. We had a great pool area, a super breakfast, and the option to order meals during the day. Our room was nice, with a view on the north side that stayed shaded during the day. Exactly what we needed.

Our room was easily the best part of our August 2025 stay at Margado. It was spacious, practical, and bright, with a private terrace bigger than the room itself. There were loungers and a table, and the panoramic bay views were special at sunrise and sunset. The hotel sits just above the port and offers free rides to and from the ferries. That was a big help because the hill is extremely steep and awkward with luggage. We could walk up and down each day, but it was tiring, and might be a concern for anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast by the pool runs from 8-10am. It covered the basics, eggs, a meat, yogurt, bread, and fruit, but was less varied than breakfasts at other hotels we stayed in Greece. The pool isn't heated, and we only used it once. Still, it was nice to have. The service and atmosphere left us with mixed feelings. No one was rude, but the family running the hotel often seemed unhappy or disengaged. Greetings and conversations felt one-sided, and my partner and I both found the vibe oddly unwelcoming, unlike the warm hospitality we'd experienced elsewhere in Greece. The location is convenient for exploring Sifnos, and the room and terrace made our stay memorable, but we probably wouldn't return and would look elsewhere next time.
